India vs Pakistan: Semi Final World Cup 2011

Today, the thirtieth of March of the year 2011, marks the day of the second semi final of the 2011 cricket world cup. This match is much hyped about as the showdown is between arch enemies, Pakistan and India. For the people of both these countries, this match is nothing less than a war, as they support their teams and pray for their victory according to their own beliefs in mosques, churches, temples and gurwaras. The match is set to be played at a Cricket Stadium in Mohali, India. Both the teams have worked really hard to get here and there is nothing to lose for both of them.

Many political leaders including the Pakistani Prime Minister, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, along with many of his co workers are traveling to the neighboring  country to support the team. Many Indian leaders and celebrities will also be attending the match to enjoy the game and to show solidarity with their team. Although, political leaders are taking this event as means of creating diplomatic relationship between the two nations, but the general public has a totally and utterly opposite view. Most people of each country are expecting an amazing match which will be won by their team. As the excitement rises, the security measures taken are also being tightened in India, to safeguard all people. People across the border are so excited that entusiastic that it is expected that both the countries will shut down as the match starts. People around the globe are calling this match the clash of the titans, as both teams come face to face. The two teams has faced each other four times in world cup events and India has been victorious in all four matches. This time however, the Pakistani team led by Shahid Afridi has shown consistency and has played great matches. Lets hope and pray that this match becomes the Pakistan’s first victory over their nemesis
