Jessica Hahn

Jessica Hahn, Barbara Walters smacked down a guest who brought up her relationship with a U.S. Senator on Tuesday's "The View."

On 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), Jessica Hahn brings up Barbara Walters' affair in the 1970s with married Senator Edward Brooke as a way to contrast her sexual relationship with televangelist Jim Bakker, which Hahn says was rape. But this prompts a strong reaction from Walters, who immediately shuts her down.

During Hahn’s interview on The View, Barbara Walters questioned her about her affair with Bakker. She went on to chastise Hahn for having an affair with a married man.

Hahn’s response was priceless! She responded that Walters also admitted to having an affair with a married senator in her book Audition. Walters was obviously not happy about the mention, and got very indignant. Walters tried to take the focus off of her by saying they were not there to discuss her life; they were there to discuss Hahn’s life.

This was a reference to Walters' admission that she had an affair with Senator Edward Brooke in the 1970s.

Walters jumped in.

"This is about you, my dear. this is not about me. OK?" she said, to applause from the crowd. "I'm very happy talk about my relationships, but this is about you."
