Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets, Distraction during the season is finally over the Denver Nuggets and the short-handed on the company will start a new era tonight at the club welcomes George Karl streak Memphis Grizzlies at Pepsi Center. The Grizzlies have traditionally played poorly in Denver, spending seven straight and 24 of 25 overall dating back to the old McNichols Sports Palace. That could change tonight, however, with Carmelo Anthony on the image to the Nuggets.

Ignore the spin, Anthony had no intention of playing in the Rockies this past season and after seeing what happened in Cleveland and Toronto after LeBron James and Chris Bosh have fled the respective cities during the offseason Historically, the Nuggets took the lead, sending Anthony to his favorite destination, New York, in a successful business that should be finalized Tuesday.

Late Monday night, the Nuggets have agreed on a trade that will be delivered to the Knicks Anthony, Chauncey Billups with guards and Renaldo Balkman Anthony Carter and swingman Wilson Chandler attackers and Danilo Gallinari, the point guard Raymond Felton and center Timofey Mozgova, and three draft picks, including the Knicks draft 2014 first-round pick.

Unfortunately, the hopes of Memphis to make a run at a higher seed took the hit right before the All-Star break, when Gay suffered a shoulder injury that will keep him sidelined for four weeks. However, Lionel Hollins club has a solid chance of winning the franchise to dock in the playoffs the first time since 2005.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets one team is the Memphis-hunting turned into a solid season despite dealing with all the nonsense Melo on a daily basis. They sit in seventh place in the West, and just half a game behind fifth-place Portland. Denver was the best offensive team in the NBA so far, averaging 107 points per game and 112 points per 100 possessions. This team is not just Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. Aaron Afflalo and Nene Hilario are extremely effective and understated. Ty Lawson provides quality minutes on the bench. Although the team should be congratulated for playing well in the midst of distraction, they did stagger the break. The Nuggets have lost four of six entering the unofficial second half of the season.

Tonight will be the rubber match of the season in the series, each team having won a match on his home ground. The Grizzlies won the latest match-up last Sunday 116-108. However, Rudy Gay has played a major role with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists. Tony Allen played well recently on the wing, but he and Sam Young cannot provide the punch that can Gay. And they need the way Denver can punch the lights at home (110 pts / game).
