Gaddafi's Son Died in NATO Air Attack

A Libyan government spokesman has announced that  Muammar Gaddafi's youngest son Saif al-Arab  was killed with his three children  in a NATO airstrike in Tripoli on Saturday.

Gaddafi himself was in the large residential villa that was targeted in the NATO air attack, along with his wife and other friends and relatives, but was not harmed. "The attack resulted in the martyrdom of brother Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, and three of the leader's grandchildren," Moussa Ibrahim added.
Mussa Ibrahim said that Saif al-Arab 29,  was an innocent  civilian and a student who had studied in Germany.

He called the strike "a direct operation to assassinate the leader of the country," but stressed, "The leader himself is safe and sound and in good health." Journalists have reported severe destructions at the building and states that one undetonated bomb is still there.

Libyan officials took journalists to the house, which had been attacked by at least three missiles. The roof had completely destroy  in some areas, leaving strings of reinforcing steel hanging down among large pieces of concrete.
