Common Sever Weather

Bulk of outages have Take placed on Southwest Side and Old Pearsall Road. Flood water has come into streets at some Points. Many flights at San Antonio International Airport have been held due to severe weather. Rain will continue during the whole day up to 7 p.m.

Melissa Sparks, the San Antonio Fire Department's spokesman, said that electricity supply to a significant part of Austin was cut due to a pole-fire which discharged due to lightening. Meanwhile, hails of pea-size to one-inch have been reported throughout the San Antonio and Austin. The CPS spokesman John Moreno said that more than 8,000 San Antonians were without power up to 11:30 a.m.

Meantime, three tornado sightings were reported in early part of Thursday morning. These three tornadoes were reported from Lee, Dimmitt and Uvalde Counties. But these reports of tornadoes have not been corroborated by NWS. Lightening incidents reported from San Antonio and Austin has been confirmed however.

Weather reports came from San Antonio International Airport that an inch of rain was showed in early hours of Thursday morning. Some of city surface areas got hail up to golf-ball size. National Weather Service has told that Bexar County is already under  flood warning. The huge storm from Mexico's side has reached this area. National Weather Service has also sustained these reports. This agency, NWS, told that 1.75 inch hail was reported from San Antonio around 10 a.m. It was the time when peak of terrible weather storm was moving through the state. They sky was darkened with black clouds and air speed was very fast.
