Charles Milles Manson was born November 12, of the year 1934. He was an American criminal who was the mastermind behind the famous Manson Family, that rose in California in the nineteen sixties. He was found responsible for conspiring to commit the murder of Tate and LaBianca. Not only that, he was also guilty of armed robberies and federal offence including taking stolen car across the state line.
At the time the Family began to form, Manson was an not employed and had spent most of his life in correctional institutions for many different offenses. Before the crimes, he was a known musician and songwriter in the Los Angeles music industry. After the second time he was released from prison, he moved into an apartment that was acquire through one of his acquaintances in prison and it was there that he started organizing the Manson family that went on to become one of the biggest crime families of the country.
In the year 1972, he was given a life sentence that was automatically commuted to life imprisonment due to a decision by the Supreme Court of California temporarily eliminated the state’s death penalty. This made him eligible for parole once every seven year. In the year 2007, on May 23, he was denied his parole for the eleventh time.

In 1973, after the imprisonment of Charlie Manson, a documentary film was produced that was directed by the famous Robert Hendrickson and Laurence Merrick by the name Mason and it was very successful . A film was made in the year 1989 by the name Charles Manson Superstar under the direction of Nikolas Schreck and this also gained popularity.
