The authorized mobile application for The University of Alabama launched this week, providing instant access to the campus directory, map, news and sports, as well as class schedules, library catalogs and more. The free application can get  from the App Store.

Made  by Blackboard Mobile, a division of the educational technology company Blackboard Inc., the app is likely to be famous in students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and other members of the University community.

“We always make every effort to offer the best in technology and access to the University community,” said Ivon Foster-McGowan, UA assistant to the provost for special projects. “We believe the new app will meet the needs and hopes of our mobile users.”
