A Senior program director for Wyclef's Yele Foundation, Joe Mignon confirmed that Wyclef was in Delmas, Haiti when shot. Wyclef was not seriously injured. He was released from a local hospital after the treatment his brother, Samuel also confirmed. No further details are available.
A spokesman for Wyclef Jean says the hip-hop star, 911 rapper has been released from a hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound to his hand.
As the shooting comes on the eve of presidential elections, one has to wonder if it is somehow related to his support of Michel.
