Perigee, March 19, 2011 is the nigh when the moon is closest to the earth due to its eliptical  orbit. This is called the Lunar Perigee. The moon is looked 15% larger and brigher than that of normal. This event comes once in twenty years. So on this days the lovers take out their telescopes and enjoy the sight of a supper moon in the sky.

Perigee is the closest point of its eliptical orbit to the earth. It means that moon will be 221,567 miles away , instead of 240,000 mile on March 19, 2011.

Usually the moon looks biggest as it rises, which is an optical illusion. The moon looks huge in comparison to buildings along the horizon. But the time when the moon get higher you could "Cover the moon with a pea at arm's distance.

But question is, will the moon caused for rising tide more high?

This is the gravity of the moon which makes the water of sea get higher we called tide. So When the moon is more close to the earth his gravitational pull increased so the tide is more high than the normal days.

Difference of 19000 mile may make some problems....What do you think?
