Louis Pasteur, is a French born chemist and microbiologist who revolutionized the field of medicine and is renowned around the globe for many decades now for his amazing developments in the field of prevention of life threatening diseases.
He was born on December 27th, 1822 to a poor family however, he excelled in the field of academics and soon joined an elite university in the field of Physics and Chemistry. He met his future wife in the university and they were soon married. He had five children but three of them died early in their childhood due to medical problems. It was the personal tragedy that prompted him into the field of medicine where he eventually made remarkable discoveries.
His works was what laid the foundation of the field of immunology and vaccinations. His work on chicken cholera, small pox and cow pox is much appreciated even today by scientists and researchers. Not only that, he also developed the process of pasteurization that is used even today to rid liquids such as milk of all bacterial and fungal microbes to make it safer for human beings to drink.
