Ides Of March, The term Ides was used in the earliest Roman Calendar made by the Romulus, the founder of Rome. In this Calendar the month were organized around three days. These day were used as a reference point to count the other days of the month.
1. Kalends: Kalends was the first day of each month.
2. Nones : Nones was the seventh day in March, May, July, and October and fifth day of the
other months of the year.
3. Ides : Ides was the fifteenth day in March, May, July, and October and thirteenth day
of the other months of the year.
The remaining day of a month were counted backwards from these days.For example March 5 would be III Nones (Three days before Nones), March 12, would be IV Ides (Fourth day before Ides)

March 1 = Kalends, March 2 = VI Nones, March 3 = V Nones, March 4 = IV Nones, March 5 =III Nones, March 6 = II Nones, March 7= Nones, March 8 = VIII Ides, March 9 = VII Ides, March 10 = VI Ides, March 11 = V Ides, March 12 = IV Ides, March 13 = III Ides, March 14 = II Ides, and March 15 ( that is today) = Ides and that is it!
Ides the March 15 is also Known as the day of bloody assassination of the Emperor Julius Caesar of the Roman Empire on 44 B.C. So it always marked as a day of infamy.
