Ubertwitter, A New war is breaking into the Twitterverse. Friday, Twitter suspended UberTwitter UberMedia and twidroyd, two popular applications used for mobile access to twitter. Twitter has said he made the trip because those customers violated its policies. “Such violations include, without limitation, a privacy issue with private messages direct from more than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users tweets to make money,” Twitter is critic Carolyn Penner said.

UberMedia has not disclosed how many people use their mobile applications, but Twitter has recognized that the suspension “may affect a large number of users.” Twitter itself has about 200 million registered users and tweet daily volume of 110 million messages.

A large number of Twitter users now had a rude awakening. UberTwitter, UberCurrent and Twidroyd no longer function as a client for the king of social status, Twitter. This suspension is not the result of the developers of this app, but Twitter. Take a look at what Twitter has to say about the suspension of these applications:

We ask all developers Twitter ecosystem to comply with a set of simple rules that are in the interests of our users, as well as health and vitality of the platform as a whole.

We often take steps to implement these rules, in fact, on an average day; we put more than a hundred services that violate our rules of the road API. This keeps the ecosystem fair to all.

Today, we have suspended several applications, including UberTwitter, and twidroyd UberCurrent, who have violated the policies of Twitter and trademarks in various ways. These violations include, without limitation, a privacy issue with private messages direct from more than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users tweets to make money.

We’ve had conversations with UberMedia, the developer of these applications, the policy violations since April 2010, when they first launched as TweetUp – a term commonly used by users of Twitter and a violation of the trademark. We continue to be in contact with UberMedia and hope they will bring suspended applications in accordance with our policy soon.

Twitter has decided to suspend the operation of applications and Twidroyd UberTwitter, which supported its platform for mobile devices, for violating company policies.

Both applications, created by society, UberMedia based in Pasadena, Calif., are among the most popular among users of iPhone, BlackBerry and mobile operating system Android.

Over 3 million smart phone users access the site via microblogging applications UberMedia

“As part of this effort, we encourage applications that work with Twitter to adhere to a set of simple rules that we defend the interests of our users and the health and vitality of the platform as a whole. Sometimes we take steps to implement these rules. UberTwitter and twidroyd we suspended for violating our policies, “the company said in a letter on his official blog.

The company said average daily suspended over a hundred applications that do not comply with company policy.

In an email communication with the Los Angeles Times, Carolyn Penner, spokesman for the network, said the breach “has taken many forms, including but not limited to them, privacy issues direct messages from more than 140 characters, trademark violations, and modify the content of the tweets of the users for financial gain. “
