Jane Russell: Hollywood actress Jane Russell died at the age of 89.

Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell was an American actress and was on the Hollywood's leading sex symbols in 1940s and 1950s.

In 1940, Russell was signed to a seven-year contract by film mogul Howard Hughes and made her motion picture debut in The Outlaw (1943), a story about Billy the Kid that went to great lengths to showcase her voluptuous figure.

Russell also played Calamity Jane in 1948 alongside Bob Hope in "The Paleface" -- and subsequently starred with Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 musical "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."

So far, no specific cause of death has been reported. Russell.
