The Film Independent Spirit Awards 2011 were take place today. Most of the biggest names in movies will converge on a beachfront tent in Santa Monica, California to honor the year in film.

Nicole Kidman is known for choosing crisp, clean lines, and at the Independent Spirit Awards red carpet, she does not fall astray. Her scoop-neck lacy red frock is sophisticated and feminine, and a cascade of curls tossed to the side brings it all together. Some pretty-in-pink makeup accents complement her look overall.
