Cyrus Kouandjio

Cyrus Kouandjio, an offensive tackle from Hyattsville, Maryland, has signed with the Auburn football Tigers. The DeMatha High standout is the nation's top-ranked OT prospect per Rivals, the top prospect in Maryland, and the fourth-ranked high school recruit overall.

Kouandjio had offers from such storied programs as Iowa, Miami, USC, UCLA, and Oklahoma, but his final decision came down to Alabama, Auburn, and New Mexico. Yes, the New Mexico coached by Mike Locksley. Yes, that's this guy. We do not understand this any more than you do, we assure you.

Kouandjio (6-7, 322, Hyattsville, Md., DeMatha HS) was considered the best high school football player in the country scheduled to announce his college choice Wednesday. Auburn has reportedly not received his paperwork, so he has only committed to signing and could still change his mind.
