Brooke Wilberger was a beatiful teenager girl of 19. She tragically lost her life to the hands of a man named Joel Courtney.Joel Courtney abducted her from an apartment complex.Her body is missing and her family has offered a reward of $15,000 on the recovery of Brooke.
Her full name was Brooke Carol Wilberger and she was born on Feb. 20, 1985, in Fesno California. Brook was the student of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Brooke Wilberger story was aired on Dateline together with incredible part wherein Brooke’s mother was able to thank Joel Courtney, the man accused of kidnapping and murdering Brooke Wilberger, who might finally stand trial in Corvallis. Brooke’s mother and siblings made a deal with Joel Courtney. He was given life in prison in New Mexico in exchange for finally revealing where Brooke’s body was located after he took her life. Sadly, Brooke’s life ended in a wooded area about 10 miles away from where she was taken.
During a press conference after his conviction, Brooke Wilberger’s mother expressed gratitude towards Joel Courtney for finally bringing closure to her family on what happened to Brooke.
Her murderer, Joel Courtney, 43, was the suspect in another kidnapping case in 2005, of a woman who miraculously escaped with her life, by another woman who saw her being abducted.
Courtney pled guilty to the kidnapping of the prior 22 year-old woman in New Mexico, and was hoping to not be extradited to Oregon for the murder of Wilberger. Cammy Wilberger, Brooke’s mother, was, incredibly thankful to Courtney for letting them know where the body was, and said as much to the amazement of the courtroom, when she and her family spoke to the criminal.
