Rashard Mendenhall

Rashard Mendenhall : The Pittsburgh Steelers are mashing the New York Jets at the line of scrimmage even without their Pro Bowl center, hammering out 128 rushing yards with 37 minutes left. RB Rashard Mendenhall leads with a mighty 89 on the ground. He also leads all receivers with 18 yards, and you might be looking at your AFC Championship Game MVP.

Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham booted in a 20-yard field goal to give Pittsburgh a 10-0 edge in the AFC Championship Game.

QB Ben Roethlisberger, who’s hampered by laryngitis, a minor-ish hip injury suffered in the first quarter, and his usual assortment of maladies, hasn’t needed to do a whole lot with all this powerful running going on. He’s thrown just one pass since the interception that ended Pittsburgh’s previous drive.
