Birds Fall From Sky In Arkansas

Birds fall from the sky in Arkansas (video)… but why did thousands of dead birds fall from the sky?

Curiously, experts have no idea why the birds fell from the sky, despite air tests and testing some of the birds themselves.

Nearly 2,000 red-wing blackbirds fell from the sky on New Year’s Eve on an Arkansas town – the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said the state Livestock and Poultry Commission Lab and the National Wildlife Health Center Lab will further examine the dead birds beginning today.

Some theories by ornithologist Karen Rowe are that the birds were hit by lightning or high-altitude hail; another theory is that the flock was startled by fireworks.
