Real name of Sathya Sai Baba was Sathyanarayana Raju. He was born on November 23, 1926, and he died on the April 24, 2011 at the age of eighty four years. he was among the most popular Indian gurus and spiritual figures of all time who has spent a big amount of his life in educating people  around him.

He is described by his followers and devotees around the world as a godman and a miracle worker who has come to help the many different people with extremely many different problems from around the world. During his lifetime, he has been a center of both fame and a huge source of debate for millions around the globe.

Skeptics from around the world consider his saying and techniques mere conjectures and simple conjuring tricks. On the contrary, his devotees consider all his techniques and sayings nothing less than solid evidence of mysticism. Sathya Sai Baba has claimed during his life time that he is in fact the rebirth of one of India’s greatest spiritual guides Sai Baba of Shirdi.

His teachings were a blend of those that found in the religions of Islam and Hinduism. Sathya Sai Baba has over the year developed many free educational institutions, hospitals, and participated in many other charity works within the state of India and around the world.
He has around six million followers who are committed about his teachings and consider his every word as the word of god. His organization is spread over in one hundred and fourteen countries around the world with twelve hundred centers.

 In the state of India, his followers are mostly those belonging to the upper middle and middle class of the society who are uncovered to education and the western ways of life. In 2002, he claimed that he has followers in around one hundred and seventy eight countries around the globe.
