Brian Regan, 53, former Brookside acter, who played Terry Sullivan in the soap has appeared in court charged with the murder of a nightclub doorman.
Brian Regan of St Mary's Road, Garston is accused of killing Bahman Faraji, 44, who was shot dead outside a Liverpool pub in Aigburth on February 24.
Post-mortem report of the Bahman Faraji said that he is died from a single gun shot wound present on the head. It is believed that he is a victim of targeted attack.
Two friends of the victim were also with him when he was killed, they wached as a peaked-capped gunman shoot him.
The shooter walked away with a shotgun tucked under his arm. Both men will appear before Liverpool magistrates.
Brian Regan was re-arrested by police along with a 42-year-old Garston man for further questioning yesterday.
The Regan, 53-year-old actor was one of three people arrested earlier in the investigation, which was launched after Iranian-born Mr Faraji, nicknamed “Batman”, was shot in the head from close range.
Edward Heffey, 40, of Beloe Street, Dingle, is in custody after being charged with murder.
