Agoraphobia, Fear of Crowdy open spaces

Agoraphobia is come from the two Greek words, agora and phobia. Agora means market place, and phobia means, fear of somthing. The Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder in which one feels the fear at the open spaces of market place. Many people are suffering from agoraphobia around the world.

This problem arises in the form of a panic attack that gets serious if the person is not taken away from the circumstances that initiate the condition. This type of problem always has an psychological cause. This condition causes the individual to stay away from crowds and public places. Women are more affected to this sort of psychological disorders then men. Commonly this conditions arises during the age from 20 to 40 years.

It has been estimated that around 3.2 million people around the United States alone suffer from this disorder. The cause behind this illness can be anything from a traumatic childhood experience to withdrawal from other people. This kind of disorder becomes the basis for many other problems as well including depression.

The leading symptom of agoraphobia is panic attack that is followed by extreme fear, disorientation, increased hear rate, dizziness, and diarrhea, all the problems that arise due to anxiety. During the onset, the patient starts to detach themselves from the people around them and they start avoiding visiting places that would be crowded like parks and malls.

There is no cure for this condition however researchers are working to find a solution for this problem. These include Eye movement desensitization and reprogramming, psychopharmaceutical therapies and anti anxiety and anti depression medication. This is a growing problem that requires a solution. Many celebrities are known to suffer with this condition. These include Rose McGowan, Boles?aw Prus, Howard Hughes, and many others. It is essential to find a cure for this growing problem.
