He was the 26th Governer of Punjab and a noted leader of Pakisatn People's Party. This is the murder of second big leader of PPP during the past three years.
He was the author of a book on the life of the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto The former Prime Minister and the father of the Benazir Bhutto.
His dead body is kept in Poly clinic Hospital in islamabad where many ministers and the party worker are gathered.
According to the PTV a security official of the Elite Force (anti terrarist police) Open the fire on him when he passed by him.He was targeted by 9 bullets and seriously injured.
He fell down and died at the spot.
