Morgan Freeman ... the latest victim of death hoax

In the recent year where many well-known names are passing away, the celebrity death hoaxes are also continuing. This time, it is one of the most well-known actors of all time the Morgan Freeman. As of Saturday, September 8, 2012 though, his representative confirmed that Freeman is indeed alive and in good health.



Much like the death hoax of Bill Cosby in late August, a Facebook page was made for Freeman about his death. In mere hours, the page was gaining in popularity and actually has got more than 60,000 “likes.”



After the news circulated about Freeman’s death, a representative told E! Online:



“Morgan is alive and well, and joins the long list of actors who have been victimized by this hoax.”



This goes to show the world that the creators of the page weren’t looking to actually start a hoax of Morgan Freeman being dead, but just to make fun of the internet. Needless to say, but they succeeded easily.



So far in the recent year, rumors of celebrity deaths have been circulated for Bill Cosby, Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa, Reese Witherspoon, and Usher. Of course, all the rumors have proven to be false.

Alfonso Ribeiro aka Carlton is not dead – what’s with all the hoaxes?

Don’t worry about, “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” fans — Alfonso Ribeiro is not died. The actor, famous as Will Smith’s dorky cousin on the ’90s sitcom, is alive and in good health. He is the latest victim of an Internet death hoax.



Much like Morgan Freeman before him, a Facebook page spread the news about the actor’s death went viral. Actually — he’s not dead. Ribeiro, who was out on the town on Thursday after the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, tweeted fans to make known them that he’s still alive.



“I guess FB has a page saying I died. I wonder what people are gonna say at my funeral???” ponders the actor, later telling pal Joey fatone that he would make sure to inform him if he actually dies. “I’m gonna make sure I let you know first. Lol.”

Russell Brand Files for Divorce from Katy Perry

Russell Brand has filed for divorce from Katy Perry another celebrity split.

In the documents, filed in L.A., Brand shows "irreconcilable differences." The couple was married Oct. 23, 2010 in India and they have no kids yet.

The divorce documents tells there are "community property assets" , it's a symbol there might not be a prenuptial agreement, or if there is, it doesn't cover all of the earnings and other assets they built up.

The documents do not provide a date the couple separated.

Russell has given a statement, declaring, "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Two years ago, to the day, on New Year’s Eve 2009, Russell Proposed to Katy in India.

Sources had told that the couple was having some personal problems, proved by the fact that they spent Christmas separately and was not wearing a wedding ring.

Even though it's not 100%, rooted in what we now know it looks Brand may have blindsided Perry by filing the divorce petition.

Aguilera to perform at Jackson tribute concert

Christina Aguilera is lending her voice to Michael Jackson tribute concert planned for October in Wales.

Organizers of “Michael Forever — The Tribute Concert” announced Thursday that Aguilera would be joined by members of the Jackson family, Cee Lo Green, Leona Lewis and the band Alien Ant Farm, which is known for its cover of Jackson’s song “Smooth Criminal.”

The announcement came after more than two weeks of silence about performers for the Oct. 8 show at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

While the event is endorsed by the singer’s mother and some of his siblings, brothers Randy and Jermaine Jackson have protested its timing. The concert is scheduled during the trial of a doctor charged in Jackson’s death.

The singer’s estate is also not affiliated with the concert.

Charlize reveals adoption plans

Charlize Theren is desperate to have a baby. The 36 year old actress has ditched her boyfriend of 10 years, Stuart Townsend, and is ready to adopt a baby. Theron tells Germany’s In Touch magazine, “I want a baby. If it would happen tomorrow I would be very happy.”

When asked if she would consider adopting as a single mother she said, “Why Not? I’m open to everything in life.” Charlize has previously spoken out about adoption when she said, “There are so many unwanted children on this earth and it’s our job to care for them. And if we don’t we’re doing the world a disservice.” But in this day and age if a single woman wants a baby, she should get a baby.
